Where is the DEWA meter
Electricity meter is usually in the corridor on the landing or in a dedicated box inside the apartment. Water meter is in the bathroom or under the sink. Ask building management to show you the location when you move in.
How to pay the DEWA bill
DEWA app — most convenient, supports auto-pay. Website dewa.gov.ae. Bank transfer or card. In person at a DEWA service centre or typing centre. Payment deadline is the 30th of the month.

Electricity for residents: 0.23 AED per kWh (up to 2,000 kWh), 0.28 AED (2,001-4,000), 0.32 AED (4,001-6,000), 0.38 AED (over 6,000). Water: 0.004 AED per gallon (base rate).
What to do if you receive an unexpectedly high bill
Check the meter reading yourself. Compare with previous months. If there is an anomaly — submit a meter check request through the DEWA app. Check for a water leak.
